INTRODUCTIONMarguerite was the outstanding talent of women's cycling in 1930s Britain. 'The Blond Bombshell from Bournemouth', as she was dubbed by the press, held all the women's distance records, including the The Land's End to John o'Groats and 1,000 miles. She was our first full time female professional cyclist. During the war she was among Britain's first seven airline stewardesses serving with BOAC's flying boat service at Poole. The purpose of this website is to celebrate her achivements and to promote my book Marguerite Wilson - The First Star of Women's Cycling, told in her own words and those of her admirers. - William Wilson

Beverley -Marguerite's daughterIt is a wonderful book and beyond anything that I was expecting. Mum would be proud of you….and of course she would be saying….’no, no it’s all in the past, it's not that important’
